1,000m. H.S. Record Falls

Robby Andrews took down Alan Webb's 1,000m. record last night at the New Balance Games. Andrews time of 2:22.28 surpases Webb's 2:23.68 by over a second. What's even more amazing about this record is that Andrews did it by negative splitting. He hit the 400m. mark in just under 59 seconds, which is on pace for just under 2:30. This proves that negative splitting in the shorter distances can result in National Records.
