Lukas Verzbicas from Lincoln-Way Central High School in Illinois set what is probably two national indoor records for freshman. At the Arkansas Invitational, Lukas ran a 4:15 mile and then came back, on the same night, with a 8:29 3k (around 9:03 for 2-mile)!!!
Simply amazing! I would usually say to watch out for this kid outdoors but the rumor is that he is not going to run outdoors. What???? Supposedly this kid is a national class triathlete and will focus on the triathlon during outdoor season. Too bad for us, exciting for the triathlon world.
