The October issue of Running Times Magazine has a must read article on the Fayetteville-Manlius Cross Country Team. Fayetteville-Manlius (F-M) is a high school in Syracuse, New York, coached by the father-son team Bill and John Aris. In the last four years, the boys team has finished 2nd (2004) and 3rd (2005) at Nike Team Nationals while the girls have taken 1st two years in a row (2006 & 2007).
The article does a good job of giving the reader an inside look at how this team has accomplished so much over the last couple of years. A combination of solid training and constant learning is what makes this team and their coaches produce year after year.
The entire magazine for October is a special high school issue so there are more goodies inside for runners and coaches to enjoy and learn from.

Here is another article on F-M. They are such an amazing program. I hope they can three-peat this fall at NXN.
