Running Movie

On January 24th, at 7:30 p.m., for one night only, select theaters are showing "Spirit of the Marathon," a non-fiction feature film. The movie follows six runners training for the 2006 Chicago Marathon.

Daniel Njenga - World Class Marathoner
Deena Kastor - 2004 Olympic Bronze Medalist
Ryan Bradley - Boston Hopeful
Leah Caille - First-Time Marathoner
Jerry Meyers- Four-Time Marathoner
Lori O'Connor - First-Time Marathoner

Whenever a movie about running is on the big screen it's worth taking the time to go out and see it. The trailer of this movie alone gets you pumped up and ready to run. Being in high school, you have no reason to run a marathon. Being a running fan, you have every reason to go out and see this movie. And who knows, you may be a future marathoner yourself.

I remember going to see "Without Limits" in the theater when I was in high school. As much as I love that movie and tried my hardest to wear out my VHS of it, no viewing of it could compare to my first viewing, in that big, dark room, on a beautifully expansive screen... the theater experience is truly electric!
