5 Problems With The Way We Train High School Runners

John Raucci sent an article to TullyRunners in 2005 explaining five problems with the way we train high school runners. John wrote this article based on his opinions and observations. It is well written and very informative. The five problems/topics with a brief teaser are:

Running Shoes - the more expensive, the more engineered, the more cushioned, the more likelihood of there being an injury.

Breathing - through the nose, not the mouth.

Anaerobic Activity - ultimately makes us run slower.

Nutrition - What do runners eat?

Mind/Body Integration - therein lies the key to the realization of one's athletic potential.
