The Running Watch

The best way to keep track of your runs and races is with a running watch. The only problem is that there are so many to choose from. They range from having the most basic countdown timer to practically doing the run for you. Two favorites that can be used for basic timing as well as advanced tracking are the Timex 100-Lap Ironman and the
The Timex has a 100 lap memory, chronograph training log, interval timers and countdown timers. It's easy to use, feels comfortable and is affordable.
The Garmin is a little more advanced. This watch is more of a toy for those who love to track everything. With a built-in satellite, it measures the distance of your run, gives splits for your programmed distance, and breaks down the final numbers in an easy to read format. The watch also has a running log and many other gadgets that will keep you busy well after your run. The Garmin is a little bulky and expensive, but worth saving your money for.
