Be Informed

Summer is just about over, practice is starting, and the hype is in full swing. Pre-season rankings for Nike Team Nationals (NTN) are out. Your local State rankings are either listed somewhere or coming soon. Is your team ranked? How does your team or you as an individual stack up against the competition?

Find out as much you can about the teams and individuals in your conference, region, section, state and nation. Being informed about your competition makes setting goals and developing race strategy much easier. Even if you don't compete against the teams and individuals you research, it keeps you up to date and aware of what is happening in your sport.
