Road Safety

When running on the roads one must think the opposite of when driving a car or riding a bicycle. The proper way to run on the roads is to run against traffic, on the left side of the road. In other words, make sure you can see the cars coming at you on your side of the road. When you can see what's coming toward you, you can react if something goes wrong. When running with traffic you can not see the cars, or whatever else, coming behind you, which doesn't allow you to react in an emergency (swerving car, side view mirror, trash out the window etc...). Stay as far off the road as possible and keep your head up. When running with someone, stay single file when cars are coming toward you. Always remember that in a car vs. runner situation the car always wins!
